Friedrich Müller: Marktneukirchen 1892

Size: 4/4

Condition: Used

Very well-seasoned old German violin. Label deep inside instrument reads, "Friedrich Müller - Marktneukirchen 1892."

[Other label was removed from inside beside soundpost -- previous owner says it was a school music program label.]

Rich, well-rounded and complex sound. Sweet high end. Even across all four strings; very nice projection. Very nice tone for classical solo or ensemble player.

Excellent condition considering the age.

- Two deep scratches at bottom rib beside chin rest (see photos), but no light shows through and all appears very solid.

- Small crack/line at top rib; repaired before we received it. Other dings, which are understandable considering the age.

The tone and price more than make up for the aesthetic flaws.

All new high quality ebony fittings including tailpiece with brass treble clef inlay. Blue Infeld strings included (or swap for Evahs for $45 more). Fully restored and setup (new bridge and soundpost), ready to play.
