2007 Fiddleheads Christmas Recital
Many violin and a few piano students played for an appreciative audience at a Christmas Recital at Salmon Arm's SAGA Gallery on December 21, 2007.
The event was hosted by Rhiannon Schmitt of Fiddleheads Violin School & Shop and piano teacher Anita Liebich.
The Fiddleheads Violin Ensemble performed several selections including a student version of the "Sugar Plum Fairy" from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite."
Rhiannon Schmitt and Anita Liebich provided the final piece, Schubert's "Ave Maria."
Fiddleheads donated all proceeds (over $250) to the Salmon Arm Food Bank in addition to six large boxes of food items which were provided by the students and the audience.
Schmitt encourages others to clear out their pantries and set aside cash each winter to help these very essential community programs.
A special thanks goes to Anita Liebich for accompanying the Fiddleheads Ensemble and students.
